Transitus Imperative?
Changes.
Changes are coming. They cannot be avoided, ignored and sidestepped. From where we are here and now to where we are going to be is a process that cannot be stopped.
Change can, is and will be.
It is an ancient axiom that ‘old things are made new". These are far more more than just philosopher’s words. They are an enduring reality. Nothing ever ’stays as it is’ for long.
Even the very very universe in which we live is ever changing.
Moving on from where we are to where we will be is a transition. These transitions can be slow and gradual or they can be very sudden and abrupt. One such transitional moment seems to be that of this upcoming February 1st. Runes, Tarot and I-Ching have all been cast, read and worked. Some of the Runic and Taroic ‘answers’ do not easily match up. Often they directly contradict and conflict. In one regard they are both very clear - this may be a moment of change and transition. Whether it be for good or for ill - or even a bit of both - may not be fully known and understood untill later.
Energies and outcome possibilities and potentialities are not written in anything but unclear uncertainty. The Runes and Tarot are oracles. They point to a possible eventual outcome.
They cannot - and do not - point to the only outcome. The future is not ‘written in stone’. It is very much open to alteration, development and change. Nothing in these ‘oracular’
castings, readings and workings is certain save for the inevitable - and expected - uncertainty.
For all of the the acknowledged uncertainty of the oracular offerings it does seem to be that this February 1st is either a day of profound changes or is the starting point for those changes. I know that for myself the casting and reading results of the Runes and Tarot were decidedly mixed. One particular question shows “Laguz” or “Flow” for the runic answer. The Tarot showed “5 of pentacles” or ‘disaster and ruin’. Hmnnn???? Another question had “Isa” or “Standstill” for the Runes and “Magician” for the Tarot. I’m not going anywhere and doing anything but I’m doing it magically? Hunhhhh???? Yeah. This was the recurrent pattern for the casting and reading. I’ve heard of ‘balances’ but that’s a bit ridiculous! So - Am I to have a good, useful and productive day on the 1st or do I stay home and hide from the world to remain safe and secure? Looks like a job for the I-Ching to break the deadlock……
I am thinking - and I sit here tonight handwriting these words - that perhaps the best way to answer these questions is to do another casting and reading on the 31st. Why the 31st? I am scheduled to be out at the Koroneburgh Festival site on the 1st to do the annual site clean-up and maintenance. Perhaps - finaally?? - we can get that creaking, and breaking wheelchair ramp fixed? We have a very dearly respected Guild Assistant Master who is confined to a powered wheelchair. That ramp is in bad, bad shape. Therefore - situations may - by the 31st??? - change and the energies re-form and re-align.
Transitions.
Sometimes they cannot be sidestepped. This may well be one of those moments of inescapable inveitability. On the 1st - and in the days following - we shall see if this really
is the Transitus Imperative - or is this just another Sunn’sday. Just another February 1st.
