This is a book that you just can not put down. If you are a follower or fan of Crowely this is definitely one of the better books that has been written. Now, I have an entire library of Crowley and writings of others denoting facts and trivia about this man yet this is one that has been written in a no nonsense manner.
From the introduction, written by James Wasserman, you are drawn into the world of Crowley. I read this book within less than an hour, not realizing that it had been so little of time spent reading. There were of course, repeats of knowledge but the unique writing style made no difference to me as it seemed new to know.
What I did appreciate was the fact as was pointed out, that many have neglected to point out, the pronunciation of his name. It is Crowley, pronounced the with the same sound as holy. Not many know this and will look at you like you are insane.
The other point is the spelling of magic. Not magick. And he considered those in the occult as magicians. Thank you for that. Hopefully others will follow suit and use this knowledge.
The writing is in a clear cut style. No fluff, no bluff. Although the book is short on pages it is long in information. You will also find useful mystical techniques that one that is practicing higher magic can easily, if they have not already started, put into their every day ritualistic procedures. Intriguing ways to take another look at the way we may utilize our magical lives and energy.
Since I am an avid collector of works of Crowley I personally advise those that are like me to purchase this book. For those that wish to know more about Crowley this is a good starting point.
