All are united yet seperate on the Spiritual path

Lady Day: March 20th

Lady Day or commonly known as Ostara and Eostre is this March 20th. Ostara is the Sabbat festival of the Vernal or Spring Equinox, the First day of Spring.

Celebrated by other religious cultures as Easter, on Sunday, April 12th.

This is the time when the light and dark are in balance. Yet the light is over taking the dark. The light is gaining strength and power. This is the time to celebrate the balance of all things. Balance from light to dark, life and death, female and male, not to mention the balance that comes from within you. Spring brings new birth. The new birth of the awakening of the plants, trees, animals and even the human population. After the darkness of winter it is a time of rejoicing and celebration of the fresh new light that is upon us.

A Special Day Event

What to do on this special day? Take a walk in a field full of flowers, or if this is not possible, walk in your own gardens. If you are an urban dweller, look upon your plants that you have. Let your mind wander and try to connect with your plants. If you are lucky enough to have a near by field, or garden, pick some flowers. Ask the plants permission first waiting for a sign of permission, then thank the plant for allowing you to pluck it from the earth that has nurtured it. See if you can find any mystical or magical meaning behind your pickings. Meditate on them and see what comes to you. You will be surprised at what you may learn, not only about yourself but the plant and why you chose it. Or it chose you.

This is something of importance. This is a ritual that may be accomplished in the solitude within yourself. A private time of ritual and celebration that may continue in practice for years to come. A time to appreciate the new growth and season. To gain balance of harmony in nature.

Let us not forget that this is a time of planting. Plant some seeds in a pot to grow inside to brighten your home. Plant in your garden. Give back to nature as it has given to you. As you are tending to your planting, you will find that you are becoming at peace with yourself. It is a relaxing time. Let your mind wander, letting thoughts flow to you. Feel the regeneration of your inner being happen. Thank the Gods and Goddesses for this time. For they are watching and smiling upon you. Watching you painstakingly give new seeds that chance to be born to brighten our world.
