Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
Elements of the Physical and Metaphysical.
Mother Earth – Gaia.
Akasha – Hand and Voice of the ALL.
Be You Honored.
Be You Blessed.

It is the Harvest.
It is the Gathering of the Harvest.
From the Earth We gather the Foods We will need for the
dark and cold Winter.
This is the Fall Equinox.
The hours of Father Sun and Mother Moon are equal.
This is a time of thanksgiving and balancing.
Mabon is the second of a trilogy of Harvest Festivals.
This Equinox is a time of great changes from the Light
unto the Dark.
We mourn that which is passing –
We celebrate that which is yet to be.
It is at this time – at this Equinox – that we stop and consider
and celebrate our gifts from our deities and divinities.
We celebrate and consecrate this symbolic death of the Father-Sun.
So that the Cycles may continue –
That the Wheel of Year may circle ‘round –
‘death’ must be in the Fall so that ‘rebirth’ may be in the Spring.
Thus we hold sacred this Sabot of Mabon’s Harvest.
Our Harvest is not just of the Fruits and Grains.
It is also of the Spiritual and Metaphysical.

Holds up wooden bowl with apple and wheat biscuits

From the Mother Earth We have Our fruits –
We have Our Grains –
We have Our Milks and Cheeses.

From Akasha –
Hand and Voice of the ALL –
We have Our Guides, Guardians and Muses,
Gods and Goddesses.
We have – each in Our own ways –
Each according to our preferences and needs –
Have Our Espiritus Sanctus.

From the Earth Mother –
From the Akasha -
We have Our Harvest for this Sabot of this Year.

Sets bowl back down on table/platform.

From the Mother Earth We have Our Harvest.

Takes knife and cuts apple into four equal sections.

From One We now have Four.

Cuts apple core from each of the four sections.
Sets apple core sections aside into smaller wooden bowl.
Takes smaller bowl and turns clockwise to the four directions.

North – South – East – West.
Elements and Guardians of the Four Directions.
From You comes this apple.
Returned unto You is this Apple.

Tosses a core section to each of the four directions.

From You this apple came.
To You this apple is returned.

Sets small bowl down and picks up four small wheat biscuits.

Wheat.
Grain of the Earth.
From this grain We make and bake Our breads –
Our muffins, biscuits and bagels.
From the bounty of the Summer –
We Gather the Harvest for the Winter.
With this Harvest We have food for the Winter.

Tosses a biscuit to each of the four directions.

Wheat.
From the Mother Earth this grain came.
To the Mother this grain is returned.

Takes cheese and breaks off four tiny sections.

Cheese.
From the milk of the cow –
Farmer’s companion of the ages.
Source of milk and all milk can be made into.
Oh, Great Placid Moo’ing One –
Thanks!

Tosses cheese sections to the four directions.

From the Mother Earth -
Back to the Mother Earth.

Takes Bell – rings three times in each of the four directions.

So thus it was –
We gathered the harvest of bounties from the Mother Earth.

So thus it is –
We celebrate and consecrate these offerings back to the Mother Earth.

So thus it be –
The cycle and circle continues.
From the Mother to Us – Her sons and daughters – back to the Mother.

The Harvest is Gathered.
The Harvest is Shared.

Takes a bite of apple and cheese.

Thanks for the apple and cheese.

As it was –
As it is –
As it will be.

Blessings Be.

Takes Bell and moves counter-clockwise ringing bell three
times in each direction.

This working is closed.
Blessings unto the Elements and Guardians of the Four Directions.
Blessings unto the Earth Mother – Gaia.
Blessings Unto Akasha – Hand and Voice of the ALL.
In Perfect Love –
In Perfect Trust You joined this Solitary Celebrant in this working.
I cannot dismiss that which is always with Me.
I thank You for You presence here today.
I thank You for Your presence in My life every day.
Blessings Be.
This working is closed.
I shall return.
