It is the Harvest.
It is the Gathering of the Harvest.
From the Earth We gather the Foods We will need for the
dark and cold Winter.
This is the Fall Equinox.
The hours of Father Sun and Mother Moon are equal.
This is a time of thanksgiving and balancing.
Mabon is the second of a trilogy of Harvest Festivals.
This Equinox is a time of great changes from the Light
unto the Dark.
We mourn that which is passing
We celebrate that which is yet to be.
It is at this time at this Equinox that we stop and consider
and celebrate our gifts from our deities and divinities.
We celebrate and consecrate this symbolic death of the Father-Sun.
So that the Cycles may continue
That the Wheel of Year may circle round
death must be in the Fall so that rebirth may be in the Spring.
Thus we hold sacred this Sabot of Mabons Harvest.
Our Harvest is not just of the Fruits and Grains.
It is also of the Spiritual and Metaphysical.
