Paganus ‘faces’ the Readership:
It’s been a mild and quiet week. Family is in - and back out -
and back in again. Doctor’s appointments, ‘tests’ at the hospital
for I’ve long since lost track of what, and other business.
The A/C service crew was here and worked their ‘magic’ as we now
have A/C again. I posted more articles to the Mistress at
MysticWitch.com and found my latest submissions posted to the site.
There have been no major family conflicts or confrontations.
Last night - as I returned from my indecisively productive
errands - I caught sight of the moon. It seemed almost full.
I got on in - had my late-hours ‘lunch’, read my newspapers and
then a couple of chapters in my Readings. It’s been a very quiet and mild week.
This is MidSummer. For the Ancients for whom Summer began on Beltane
this is the MidPoint. In the Realm of Symbols The “Holly” and “Oak” “Kings”
exchange places. The Sun is at it’s zenith {its highest point in the sky}
and the days are closely balanced between day and night.
It is a time of Symbols and Symbolism. It is a time of looking back at
the the start of the year and a looking forward to the rest of the year.
I was at home - late at night - and I could see the moon through
the small trees outside my window. For the Pagan’s - NightMother Moon was
shining down her reflected light of the Sun and keeping watch over us.
For this Paganus - it was a moment of quiet reflection and thought.
Changes are happening and being made. Options and choices and
alternatives are being studied and considered. This ’symbolic’ ‘MidSummer’ - for this
solitary studying and learning Paganus - is a moment of uncertainty and
changeable flux. I am not currently employed - though there are some options and
possibilities. Costs of ‘doing business’ are again rising making necessary some
immediate and direct changes to how some things are done around here. I thought of
all of this in the dark quiet of the night - then set it all aside for another
day….
What are those quiet, rustling and stirring noises outside my
window? Who or what is there? Puck - are you wandering past my window again?
Frodo - are you with him? Afterall - this ‘Lithe’ IS from the ‘Lord of
the Rings’ by Tolkien. It’s on the Hobbitt calendar. So which one of you is
scrunching about in the bushes out there? - or is it both you - again???
It looks to be another quiet and mild week. I have my own trip to
the Doctor - routine scheduled Dental-Hygienist visit. {Oh the joy’s of having to
leave my mouth open for an hour!….}. I might be checking back on a few ‘job
application possibilities’. {This is Paganus again. Any change in status with my
application?}. I might even get to work in a trip to the Camera Shop to find out if I
can get a ‘check-up’ for my Camera. It’s old and needs some servicing.
I might even have time to check my e-mail and post some articles to my
Editorial Mistress. Another week of hopfully nothing much…..
